About me / Credentials
My name is Dominic Parker. I’ve been training for nearly four years and discovered powerlifting through athletes like Russel Orhii and Shane Hunt on social media. I started lifting in my basement with no real plan, no coaching, and no idea what “optimal” even meant, just weights and a passion for lifting them.
I’ve been fully self-coached throughout my journey, taking myself from an empty bar to a 705 squat, 410 Larsen bench, and a 765 deadlift — all natural. Along the way, I’ve spent thousands of hours training, researching, reading and breaking through plateaus I once thought were permanent.
I’ve competed twice so far (as of writing this) and at my first meet I broke the USAPL Junior 100kg squat record with a 611 lb squat. My goal now is simple: keep improving, compete at the national level, and help others build real strength through smart, sustainable training.
My faith in Jesus is the center of everything in my life. My life goal is to just be an amazing powerlifter , coach, husband etc but to glorify him in every word, deed and thought that comes from me, to not be just a hearer but a do-er of the word, to proclaim the gospel and to continuously be sanctified and molded in the image of Jesus. While I was still an enemy of God he laid his life down on the cross and redeemed me so that I could be reconciled to him ( Rom 5:10) .
